Carlo Ferraris: I brought this *&%$#!@ house here because of this table!
Video, Photographs and audio installation
Carlo Ferraris: All the artwork I would have made if Horen Higgins was my father
Installation and sculpture

Florence Lynch Gallery is pleased to present two exhibitions by Carlo Ferraris. The exhibitions are on view from October 16 to November15, 2008.  An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Thursday, October 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The exhibition “I brought this *&%$#!@ house because of this table! has as its main subject a table and everything that can stay on top and underneath this object.  The paradoxical situations created by the video and photographs created around this subject are not that far removed from daily occurrences, but as customary with Ferraris’ works, the reality is subtle and slightly removed from our common perception and reality.  This exhibition is linked with “All the artwork I would have made if Horen Higgins was my father,” a second exhibition in the gallery also by Carlo Ferraris.  The second exhibition includes some tri-dimensional objects relating to numbers along with an installation that interacts with the other show in the gallery also by Ferraris.  And in collaboration with Allegheny productions, Carlo Ferraris will present the only electro-domestic shot gun ever made.
Born in the Piedmont region of Italy, Ferraris has participated in numerous exhibitions in Europe and the U.S. His work has been published and reviewed in such publications as The Art Newspaper, The New York Times, Art in America, and, Flash Art, among others.

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. For further information and photographic material please contact Florence Lynch or Beatrice Campa 212-924-3290.
