Theresa Hackett

"Though I occasionally incorporate recognizable imagery, my paintings are primarily abstract and have consistently bordered on the sculptural."   In her recent work, Hackett has made large and small-scale, boxlike paintings that make visual puns and play with the formal language of painting.
